Overall I\'m happy with the panel. I purchased the one without retainer welded in. Also bought the weatherstrip from here. I welded the new retainers in according to original panel. The new weatherstrip must not have been the same as original. It doesn\'t fit correctly and looks terrible. The new weatherstrip was thicker/wider than original and would not stay in channel. For this reason I never remove tops because they are extremely difficult to get back on and I am afraid the weatherstrip will pop out of channel. GBP response: Andrew Duhe the original seals are now 30+ years old & have dried out and shrunk over time. We have literally sold over 700+ sets of these seals with no complaints. They have a life time warranty. If you would of contacted us I could find out how they were installed. When the weather strip is glued back in (like they did from the factory) there is 0 chance of it popping back out. When gluing the seals the T-top glass has to be installed, windows up, & doors closed. Allow to set like this for at least 24 hours. This gives the seals their fitment.
