I am sure like most it is almost impossible to order an actuator without buying the turbo. We too have struggled to keep up with the customers that need to replace their older actuators.
The original turbo wastegate actuators have a NON-ADJUSTABLE rod. Ours is adjustable in standard duty and heavy duty. The TA turbo has 2 bolts holding on the inlet bell. This is how you know you need a TA actuator. If your inlet bell is molded on then you have a TE turbo. We manufacture those as well.
We have manufactured the TE this with no weld lines on the bracket securing the TA to make the TE actuators. We corrected the and the bends are perfect. So the TE actuator doesn’t look like it an afterthought.
The adjustable actuator is an excellent way to fine-tune your car and adjust the boost levels to your application and it is easy to install. Not to mention customers demands without saying, sorry you need to buy a $1,000.00 turbo just for the actuator.
