As far as I can see this gasket is just like the original. I'm supose if you looked long and hard enough you might find a difference but let me tell you, if you do, it won't matter because this piece fits perfectly and looks outstanding!

1983-84 Hurst/Olds original plate was aluminum. If you have tried to replace or repair your brushes you know this gasket has seen better days. This new product will help align your brushes & keep them in place. This is the exact same dimensions of the original rubber piece when it was new.
