1978-88 GBody T-top Roof Header Panel NOW AVAILABLE!
You have a T-top G-Body from 1978-88. You are ready to install the new seals you just bought from us & uh oh! That looks like rust! Depending how bad your rust is will determine if you need this piece of sheet metal.
Our Remanufactured T-top roof header panel replaces and improves up GM frame structure part # 20087922.
included is the front welded in retainers GM part # 20084307 RH P.S. & 20084308 LH D.S. The factory was only .638 mills. We have increased to 1.0. This has no ill effects on the fitment. The reason for doing this is to help strengthen the T-Top roof structure and to help stabilize from tweaking.
Ok I have this problem. Looks like a nice piece but what is actually involved in swapping this piece of sheet metal out Well our first proto type was donated to a fellow GBody Turbo Buick brother. In return Jason Refieuna from Lyons, IL. donated his time and money to make this crystal clear on the removal and installation of how you too can save your rusty T-top G-Body. I just want to take a second here and thank Jason for all his hard work. He found a very competent body shop and documented this well. *A-pillars are also being Built. So have no fear if they are rusted. They are pictured but not included.
*Rear roof tooling is built & samples are being test fitted.
