1983 Regal T-type
Color Tri-Shield Wheel Center Cap
Redesigned using Snap Rings
New Reproduction Center Caps for the very few owners of an 1983 T-Type
These cars were equipped with the same chrome plated center cap used with the N78 wheels (1981-1983) The center insert is the traditional 3 color Red, White & Blue Shield.
Once discontinued from GM, 83 T-type owners were forced to pay over $300 a set for these caps. Then to have it fly off on a hard corner or a pot hole.
This replaces GM part number # 25518703 and # 25506048 (B9343) but with a much needed improvement.
In an effort to help the problematic center cap retaining tabs from cracking or breaking off which eventually results in the center cap flying off, We have now designed our reproduction caps with a "Snap Ring" to help strengthen the retaining tabs and prevent the center caps from coming off.
The TRI- COLOR Buick Tri-Shield is an expensive German acrylic with the engraved Tri-Shield like original. It will not fade like a cheap plastic.
It has an adhesive back to which you will be required to peel & stick each insert into the center cap. Please use alcohol to clean the plastic residue off of this area for best adhesion.
This center cap will fit any 3 inch opening for those that like the monotone color cap in other applications.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL ALL SNAP RING CENTER CAPS:
Remove the wheels from the car. Remove the snap ring in the back of the replacement cap. Then install the center cap. Then re-install the snap ring back into the cap. Make sure the tabs have the snap ring evenly placed around. At this point grab the cap and it should stay in place. We have pictures of us lifting a wheel up in the air from the cap and the cap not coming out. Reverse the procedure for the removal.
