The evacuation tank catch can catches oil from your valve covers and your trans simultaneously. At low or hi boost oil is being pushed out of the engine through the valve covers. The Crank case vent hoses are ran from the valve covers to the tank. Your Trans vent line is also ran to the tank. What you receive is the tank, breathers, and tank fittings only!
How the evacuation catch can works:
The engine gets blow by and creates pressure in the engine robbing horsepower. The pressurized fuel / air is pushed out of the valve covers which is also carrying oil enters the side of the box. This oil and air mixture has to pass through the aluminum vent holes. The gasses then travel through packed steel wool where the Oil is trapped but the gasses escape through the breather. The steel wool will absorb the oil that makes it up through the vented holes. The oil is then trapped in the steel wool and drips out. This will prevent the oil from running out of the Engine valve covers and Transmission overflow. This is a very common problem for cars that are under boost. You do not want to launch and hit a post of oil.
The evacuation catch can comes with a -8 drain cap. The plug can be opened to release the excess oil the box traps. The middle port is used to vent the transmission. The inlet fittings are -12 size.We decided to make the trans inlet standard on these and they come with that 1 port plugged. That plug can be removed and the trans vent plumbed into it. It come with the breathers, and a -8 drain plug cap for the bottom
This is designed for those who have removed their HVAC box and are running an AC delete cowl panel and Plate or one of our 1 Piece delete cowl panels. There is a pic of it mocked up on the AC delete plate in the pictures. You will see the mount and can is on an angle to be level once installed.
