UMI's G-body Pro-Tour style bar is a true multi purpose high performance rear sway bar. The chassis and differential housing mounts reduce bind normally associated with the factory style bars. The bars are 1" diameter hollow and feature three different rates (street/auto-x, road race/strip). UMI's tried and true CNC machined clamping system allows differential housing mounting on 2.75", 3" and 3.25" diameter housings. These can be bolted on, or welded for additional security. The double shear chassis mounts are held in place by four 3/8" fasteners. Drilling through the crossmember is required and a template /instructions are included. The house made hex adjuster allows pre-loading of the bar when used for drag applications so your car leaves straight. Choose the longest hole for street, middle hole for auto-x, road race and the shortest hole for drag use.

What are the differences between a UMI bar & others out on the market They have a couple of differences:
1. The UMI bar has a measurement of 1" hollow steel. Some of the others on the market are solid 7/8". The outside diameter is where the sway bar stiffness comes from so our bar is lighter but also stiffer. There are three settings that allow you to adjust the stiffness.
2.The UMI bar is on-car adjustable. You can set pre-load of the bar with the adjusters and rod ends by simply loosening the jam nuts and turning the adjusters to lengthen or shorten the end links. On other brands bar, they are not on-car adjustable and you have to unbolt the rod ends from the car to change length and reinstall to check.
3. UMI is using a Telfon lined rod end which is designed to offer less noise then economy rod ends since the bearing rides in a lining. Others use economy rod ends which are cheaper, resulting in more road noise.
4. One small thing is UMI brackets and U-bolts. The UMI brackets and U-bolts are all zinc coated to prevent rust... Others have bare metal and they rust instantly.
5. Clearance- The UMI bar is designed to clear ALL rear ends, stock and aftermarket. No extra charges to clear different rear ends, others sell spacers to lower the bar. UMI's is bent to clear them all with no issues.
