Reproduction GM Trunk RPO SPID Label
GENERAL MOTORS REGULAR PRODUCTION OPTIONS (RPO) CODES
What is an RPO code? The regular production code (RPO) is the code used when the vehicle was built including all optional equipment listed by code which includes letters and/or number. Where can I find these codes on my vehicle? Most General Motors vehicles have the RPO sticker, also called the Service Parts Identification label, in the truck most often on the spare tire cover. Trucks usually have the RPO sticker in the glove box. Why do I need to know the RPO? With some replacement parts, such as the alternator, it is important to know which unit the vehicle came with from the factory. The only way to know is from the RPO code. TECH TIP When ordering parts for your vehicle, take a photo of the vehicle identification number (VIN) and take to the parts store or the parts department at a dealer, to be ready to answer any questions that they might ask. This saves a lot of time and makes sure that the correct part is being ordered for the vehicle.
