Available for most domestic muscle car applications with 16 or larger wheels*, this much anticipated brake system is the next evolution to our popular Track brake system.
Featuring our newest T4, 4 piston calipers mated to 13 diameter rotors; it promises to offer performance well beyond that of any other brake system in its price range! And with additional features such as standard powder coated caliper finishes in Red, Black or Silver and brilliant, slotted, drilled and zinc plated finished rotors, the NEW Track-4 brake system is sure to look as good as it performs!
Since there is only a single bleeder, located on the inner half of the caliper, the T4 calipers bleed quickly and easily.
Available in Red, Silver or Black!
FAQ:
1) Is this Track4 system for all 4 wheels
A) No the track4 is only for the front. Baer does not offer a Track4 rear, but they do build an SS4 rear to go with the Track4 front. The SS4 is a smaller 4 piston caliper mounted to a 12" rotor with a drum in hat park brake
2) Do I need the Global west or similar upper control arms
A) Baer's Track4 will come pre-assembled on modified stock spindles. These will work with stock upper control arms, or any uppers that are designed to work with stock spindles.
3) Are the rears a bolt on
A) Bascially yes. The rear will require 2 holes to be drilled in the flange, besides that it will bolt up. Due to being a drum brake rear some axle flanges will need to be turned down so the rotor will fit the axle (this is common with ALL rear brakeconversions.
4) Will it clear the stock rims
A) Always use templates to verify.
5) Will it clear the GNX - TRANS AM STYLE 16″ x 8 rims
A) Same as above. There were so many people that build the GNX style wheels it is hard to say. The only way to verify wheel fitment is to use a template. These are easy to use, and only require you to take off a wheel to verify fitment.
6) Do I need to replace my origional good working Power Master master cylinder
A) No,the Baer upgrade will work with the factory power master or vacuum conversion
7) Are there any "hidden" parts / things I need to do
A) For rear conversions (if the car is currently drums) we do recommend an adjustable proportioning valve. The Baer system will include all fittings, hoses and even a clear bleed hose to help bleeding the brakes. Rear systems will also include park brakecables.
8) Is there a cheaper option from you to get better brakes
A) Yes but what about the quality & longevity of the other systems. We do not need to bring up the safety factor. Buy it once & be done.
9) Which brake pads will be needed for future replacements
A) The Track4 system is designed to use the same pad as the 1998-2002 Camaro, so pad replacements are easy to get and can be purchased from any auto parts store.
