New Stainless Steel reproduction 1983-1988 Monte Carlo SS Top plate - air tunnel facia support. Ok now what are the differences from the factory to the stainless The stainless due to manufacturing time and cost were made out of 2 pieces that were spot welded. The stainless is made out of 304. The finish is a very fine brush that is finger print and scratch resistant. There were cheaper stainless materials we could have used but this is one of the best for its application. The 4 divits on the inside where the rubber cover pretty much covers were not copied. They were installed in the factory application to add strength. Double wall thickness of the stainless results in a smoother finish and the divots were not needed.
How will this fit compared to my original As you can see from all the pics that there was a lot of painstaking time and effort to ensure the measurements are correct in location & hole size. Please note powder coating is no longer available.
