One Piece Heater / AC delete cowl panel with drain

Aluminum One Piece HVAC Delete and Cowl panel combo with drain.

Finally a 1 piece unit is available. Direct bolt in that seals. The top tray better known as your tool tray has a drain.Our unit will come with straps that are secured by the panel screws. This is to hold a Silicone hose so the water can drain down below the harness and the frame. It can be powder coated like our current block offs and cowl panels. I know I am going to hear "my race car never sees rain.", Nor do ours but we like to wash them once in a while. The cowl panel ends up being a tool tray. It is nice to wash it out the same time you are cleaning your car.

Our unit is .063 Aluminum 5052-H32 alloy.

The aluminum panel itself has a volume of 29.26 cubic inches. With a density of .0968 pounds per cubic inch of aluminum would equal a mass of 2.83 lbs per panel. With the addition of the Gasket, Hose barb fitting, clamps and drain line you will just be under 3lbs.

To give you an idea of mild steel units on the market. Mild steel is .284 density. So if this unit were to be built in mild steel it would weigh almost 3 times as much, 9 lbs. !!!
