Our new caps use a GM certified restoration cap with the steel retainer just like factory units at less then half the costs of GM. We have ran out of the original GNX ASC stickers but have had an exact reproduction made off of the original. One of our Turbo Buick friends had made a copy of these back in the late 90's & then they were purchased by others from E-Bay & re-copied several times. We sent another NOS unit to verify these stickers were still crisp & clear as the originals. This is about as close as you will come to original unless you buy original GM GNX caps we have on our site & purchase these stickers. I still feel that this reproduction cap is at 99% quality of the originals.
This is also a great way to keep your original GNX caps set to the side. You can run these & not have to worry about losing an original.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL ALL SNAP RING CENTER CAPS:
* When installing your snap ring caps, you will have to make sure the the snap ring is seated correctly. If you install the caps and it spins easily, then the spring is not seated properly. You must remove the wheel and make sure the snap ring is seated in the teeth. Once this is done you will be able to rotate the cap but it will be snug.
We have pictures of us lifting a wheel up in the air from the cap and the cap not coming out.
Reverse the procedure for the removal.
**Please note: you must use alcohol on the center cap to remove the mold release prior to installing the inlays, otherwise they will not form a good adhesion.
