DO NOT SIGN FOR DAMAGED FREIGHT!!! OPEN YOUR SHIPMENT AND INSPECT FOR DAMAGE PRIOR TO SIGNING! IF THERE ARE DAMAGES, TAKE PHOTOS AND REFUSE THE SHIPMENT! Oversized goods are held to a different standard than other shipment types. We have very little recourse with the carrier for damages of sheet metal that is signed for. WE MUST INSIST THAT YOU INSPECT THE CONTENTS PRIOR TO SIGNING. If there is damage, refuse the shipment and we will get a replacement out right away. Once you (or your body shop) sign for the shipment, you are committing to receive the merchandise in its shipped condition; therefore you own it at that point.
