Cutlass Fender to Header Panel Gasket GM Called it a "Protector"
Our new gaskets replace GM Part Number # 22507983 (qty 2 needed) LH = RH. When you get this it will be 2 pieces.
1981-1986 is what the GM parts manual shows. However, the illustrations Shows:
1981 - 1986 GM part number # 22507983
1987 - 1988 with the same part number # 22507983 with a note stating to "Cut as Required" At the bottom you have to trim about 3/8 of an inch off to match the header panel. This can be seen in the pictures we supply.
This is perfect for when you are doing a paint job. You can install like the factory did.
There is no part number for the Black push pin in the top hole of the header panel, so you will have to reuse what you have. We are having it reproduced now in case it is missing.
