GM front grill springs have been discontinued, we had the springs reproduced exactly like the originals. These springs are what holds the grille in place at the bottom of all 1978-1987 Regals, including all the Turbo models. This spring is designed for the 1981-1983 Regal and Turbo models 82 GN and 83 T-Type. This is NOT for 1984-1987. We carry these also .
One end of the spring goes in a small hole at the top of the front bumper reinforcement brace and the other end fits in a notch on the back edge of the base of the grill. Original GM springs were never painted, so springs would quickly rust and break. Our springs are painted black
