New Lower rear control arms (Part #0204) for '78-'87 GM G-bodies with special Polyurethane bushings. We have taken the best characteristics from the many different designs available and wrapped them all up into one, and included several improvements. They are equipped with a grease fitting on each end, in a location for easy access. The grease enters an area between the two poly bushing inserts, and is directed to the inner spacer. Once there, the grease coats the inner spacer 360 degrees around, through several grooves in the poly bushings. This will eliminate any possible binding or squeaking, and allow quicker movement for improved performance. These custom new control arms will allow enough flex for comfortable street driving, but also be stiff enough to perform under the most severe racing conditions. Part #0204 is a direct bolt-in replacement for the stock lower rear control arms on the following vehicles:

Many cars do not have the optimum pinion angle setting for racing and for their particular combination which robs valuable horsepower and hurts traction. At higher horsepower levels and for racing applications, the stock setting is usually too low. Our driveline section in the Tech Area has complete details and recommendations for pinion angle settings and shows how to check it as well.
To modify this correctly, the upper control arms usually need to be shortened, and the lower control arms need to be lengthened. We also have custom lower control arms available with a length that is 1/4" longer than stock, that will increase the stock pinion angle setting by approx. 1-1/2 to 2 degrees. The custom length arms should ONLY be considered if you know exactly what your pinion angle is currently.
