Perfect fit on an 86 SS. You could make one yourself but you'll never get close to the quality or durability of this thing. It's over 1/8" thick, welded corners, and includes a threaded drain hole on the passenger side. Bolt holes are elongated for adjustability. This metal is so strong you could mount your ignition box to the underside. Don't be one of those guys with a "street car" that can't take a little rain, protect your firewall and electronics. 5 minutes to install and fits easily over the ac delete panel.

Didn't fit, had to trim 1/4 inch and pound down the flats to make it fit, and sharpen the bend on the mounting tabs to align it with the original cowl. Still looks good after install but definitely not a unbox and bolt on.

This is for people who have deleted the air conditioning from their car. When the AC box is removed the windshield ledge cowl panel remains on the drivers side, but the passenger side is gone because it is built into the AC box.This eliminates the necessary lip to affix the hood seal which is attached just in front of the wipers.When installedthis gives the cowl a finished and completed look, instead of a gap on the passenger side. The top surface is a class A finish high gloss black, the bottom is white so the customer can paint to match their A/C delete panel. This cowl panel goes along great with our AC delete plates and allows you to keep your hood seal. Hardware included. Easy to install.
