This unit is an exact duplicate in weight and thickness of the Originals. The dimensions are dead on even to the radiator Hold down bushing locations.
The only change was a higher quality steel. After 30+ years most of the originals are rusted. Yes you can blast and powder coat like we used to but some are just beyond doing that. You still see rust dimples in the paint. When restoring your GBody this is a must. With prices of used going for $50-$100 we knew this was a much needed part for restoring your GBody.
Maybe you are just converting your GBody to an electric fan and want a GM appearing engine bay at a glance. Although this may have not come on your GBody it will look like it did once installed. We do offer stainless steel units for less but this gives the engine bay the All OEM appearance.
Please note that this item is EDP coated for rust inhibition. The EDP coating should be sanded and primed for painting.
